About the role

This position will provide outpatient primary care and consultative services to a geriatric population aged 65+ at Kent Hospital, a 360-bed teaching hospital affiliated with Care New England, a leading non-profit healthcare system in Rhode Island and southeastern Massachusetts.

Responsibilities

  • Practice in an outpatient setting adjacent to Kent Hospital
  • Primary care and cognitive evaluations for geriatric patients
  • Pre-operative geriatric assessments through the Geriatric Surgery Verification program
  • Opportunity to participate in the e-consult service
  • Option to spend up to 25% of time on the ACE inpatient unit at Kent Hospital
  • Collaborate on system-wide age-friendly initiatives

Requirements

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Geriatrics (dual certification in Palliative Care preferred)
