The West Virginia University Health System, the state’s largest health system and largest private employer, comprises 18 hospitals throughout the state and bordering states. It includes five institutes and provides management services for other local hospitals through affiliate agreements.
About the role
The West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Pediatrics seek an Adolescent Medicine physician (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV.
Responsibilities
- Join our group of two adolescent medicine physicians, including full-time clinical and combination clinical-research faculty with funding through NIH and private funding mechanisms.
- Provide excellent patient care in the general adolescent clinic.
- Be actively involved in the teaching of medical students and residents.
Qualifications
- Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license.
- Successful candidate must have completed a pediatrics, medicine/pediatrics, or family medicine residency program.
- Candidates that have completed an adolescent medicine fellowship program are preferred but not required.

What You Will Be Doing
Depending on operational needs, a successful candidate may also be assigned to provide services at additional worksites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. In such instances, travel would be anticipated and expected to fulfill said duties at these additional sites.
