Physician - Pediatrician
About the role
Tampa Family Health Centers is a Federally Qualified Health Center providing high-quality, compassionate, and accessible healthcare to diverse communities in Hillsborough County. As a Pediatrician, you will join a mission-driven team dedicated to improving pediatric health outcomes.
Essential Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive pediatric care, including well-child visits, preventive services, acute care, and chronic disease management
- Perform patient histories, physical examinations, clinical assessments, and medical diagnoses
- Maintain complete, accurate, and timely electronic health record documentation
- Complete billing charges and clinical tasks in accordance with organizational requirements
- Participate in daily care team huddles, peer review, and quality-improvement initiatives
- Support efforts to close care gaps and improve pediatric health outcomes
- Provide clinical guidance and oversight to advanced practice providers, nursing staff, and other care team members
- Teach and supervise residents, medical students, and allied health professionals when applicable
- Support accreditation readiness, clinical quality measures, and organizational performance goals
- Participate in after-hours coverage when assigned
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from an accredited medical school
- Completion of an accredited Pediatric Residency Program
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
- Active and unrestricted Florida medical license
- Active DEA registration
- Current Basic Life Support certification
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and collaboration skills
- Commitment to maintaining required continuing medical education and professional development
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems
