Physician - Pediatric Hospitalist

About the role

The Pediatric Hospitalist provides pediatric services in hospital settings, including emergency department coverage, newborn rounding, and attending deliveries. The position offers professional fulfillment within a team dedicated to high‑quality pediatric care.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, manage, and discharge pediatric patients in collaboration with attending physicians.
• Respond to emergency department requests for patient evaluation and treatment.
• Attend high‑risk and normal deliveries as needed, providing neonatal care in the nursery.
• Collaborate with advanced practice nurses and multidisciplinary teams to ensure continuous, appropriate, and timely patient care.
• Perform procedures as deemed appropriate and respond to consult requests from other hospital departments.

Qualifications & Skills

• Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Pediatrics (BC/BE).
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification required.
• Experience in pediatric emergency and neonatal care preferred.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including day and night hours.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
