Physician - Pathologist - Full-Time

Role Overview This is a community-based pathologist position involving laboratory leadership and general coverage for two hospitals. The role encompasses surgical pathology, cytopathology, and clinical pathology, requiring collaboration with laboratory leadership and clinicians across hospital campuses. The pathologist will work closely with academic faculty and departmental leadership at a medical school. Key Responsibilities Provide clinical and anatomical pathology diagnostics to determine disease presence and stage using laboratory techniques and patient specimens.Uphold responsibilities outlined in Medical Staff bylaws and report equipment or facility issues.Maintain accurate medical records and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills Doctorate in medicine with BC in AP/CP or eligible for certification.Ability to obtain medical licensure in Illinois (required) and Missouri (preferred).Knowledge of anatomic and clinical pathology, medical procedures, and terminology.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
