Responsibilities
- Inpatient and outpatient services
- Building effective relationships with consulting physicians
- Ensuring communication and follow-up
- Creating a culture of collaboration among specialists, primary care physicians, nurses, social work, case management, pharmacy and other staff
- Maintaining the health and wellness of patients and families
- Teaching opportunities, including supervision of house staff and medical students
- Led performance measurement/quality improvement initiatives
- Participating in research projects
- Leading hospital committees
- Engaging in community outreach efforts
Requirements
- Hospice or palliative care experience required
- Administrative leadership preferred
- Graduate of an accredited school of medicine
- Board-certified or eligible in Hospice and Palliative Medicine required
- Current, valid and unrestricted medical license
Qualifications
- Knowledge, skills, abilities, relevant experience and training as well as internal peer equity will determine rate of pay for selected candidates
