Physician - Orthopedic Surgery
Description
MaineHealth Orthopedics and Sports Medicine is currently seeking a BC/BE physician to join their busy and dynamic group in their hospital-employed practice located in Norway, Maine.
About the Role
The successful candidate will provide a mix of outpatient, inpatient, and surgical orthopedic care while also providing some general orthopedic services. The orthopedics practice includes a mix of orthopedic surgeons with a range of skills including joint replacements, fracture care, hand surgery, and sports medicine. There are also two advanced practice professionals and a non-operative sports medicine physician. In addition to the local team, there is collaboration with the orthopedic surgery team throughout MaineHealth.
Responsibilities
- Provide a mix of outpatient, inpatient, and surgical orthopedic care
- Collaborate with the orthopedic surgery team throughout MaineHealth
- Offer a range of orthopedic services including joint replacements, fracture care, hand surgery, and sports medicine
- Work with two advanced practice professionals and a non-operative sports medicine physician
Requirements
- MD/DO from an accredited medical school
- Active and unrestricted State of Maine medical license, or ability to obtain prior to employment
- Board Certified/Board Eligible

Pay
The annual base salary for this position is $608,811.00. In addition to base pay, MaineHealth offers comprehensive benefits, recognition programs, and career growth opportunities.
