Ochsner Lafayette General is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Orthopedic Spine Surgeon to join our rapidly growing practice. With a well-established referral network and immediate block time available, this is a unique opportunity to step into a high-volume practice with excellent resources and support. Responsibilities

  • Thrive in a thriving, expanding practice with a strong patient base
  • Teach and work with residents
  • Enjoy a low call burden for better work-life balance
  • Benefit from multiple APPs for clinical and surgical support
  • Leverage state-of-the-art technology, including O-arm for spinal procedures
  • Operate in the region’s only single-specialty orthopedic hospital with 6 OR’s and capacity for expansion
  • Utilize dedicated orthopedic rooms daily and extra support staff as needed
  • Practice in a supportive environment with flexible schedules

Requirements

  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong clinical skills and surgical proficiency
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Qualifications

  • MD or DO degree
  • Current license to practice medicine in the state of Louisiana
  • Passing scores on the USMLE or COMLEX

Skills

  • Excellent surgical skills and technique
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Leadership and teaching abilities
  • Ability to manage a busy caseload
