About the role

Ochsner Lafayette General is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Orthopedic Hand Surgeon to join their rapidly growing practice. The position offers a thriving, expanding practice with a strong patient base, the opportunity to teach and work with residents, a low call burden for better work-life balance, multiple APPs for clinical and surgical support, state-of-the-art technology, and the region's only single-specialty orthopedic hospital.

Responsibilities

  • Practice in a high-volume setting with excellent resources and support
  • Teach and work with residents
  • Manage a low call burden to maintain a balanced schedule
  • Utilize multiple APPs for clinical and surgical support
  • Operate in a state-of-the-art facility with a microscope for hand procedures
  • Work in a single-specialty orthopedic hospital with 6 ORs and capacity for expansion
  • Benefit from dedicated orthopedic rooms and extra support staff

Requirements

  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Orthopedic Surgery
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage a busy caseload
  • Strong surgical skills and knowledge of hand surgery

Qualifications

  • Completed residency in Orthopedic Surgery
  • Experience in hand surgery preferred
  • Active license to practice medicine in the state of Louisiana

Pay
