Physician, Obesity Medicine - Modified Full Time W2 (32 hrs/wk) - MO
About the Role
We are seeking obesity medicine physicians to provide longitudinal telehealth care for patients with obesity, and to collaborate with advanced practice professionals and registered dietitians towards exceptional team-based care. Work is remote, and schedules can be flexible. This is a Modified Full Time position (32 hrs/week) based in a 100% remote, telemedicine clinical setting (must be based in the US). The physician will work closely with a supportive care team and have protected time for administrative duties.
This role requires licensure in Missouri (MO) or an active Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) designation or an official Letter of Qualification (LOQ). The role includes participation in a rotating after-hours call schedule with Form Health clinical leadership, with a reduced clinical schedule during on-call weeks.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a clinical setting, focusing on evidence-based obesity treatment and chronic weight management.
- Manage your own patient panel and collaborate with Registered Dietitians. (Note: This role does not currently collaborate with APPs, but may include chart reviews and return visits for APP patients every third visit in the future to ensure quality and continuity of care.)
- Provide treatment planning and medical management support for complex cases or escalated concerns.
- Prescribe non-controlled obesity medications for patients under direct care.
- Ensure clinical documentation, protocols, and treatment pathways are followed consistently within the team.
- Assist in the professional development of APPs by fostering clinical growth, offering feedback, and supporting continuing education. This role may include APP collaboration and supervision responsibilities.
- Participate in team-based care initiatives and contribute to a culture of collaboration and high-quality care.
- Attend relevant departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement efforts within the obesity medicine program.
Requirements
- MD or DO degree with board certification; must be an American Board of Obesity Medicine (ABOM) diplomate.
- Licensed to practice and prescribe legally in Missouri, Alabama, or Mississippi. Multi-state licensure is a plus but not required.
- Must hold a valid Letter of Qualification (LOQ) through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC) or meet all prerequisites to secure one rapidly upon hire.
- Current or previous credentialing with insurance payers is desired but not required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for patient and team interactions.
- Commitment to the highest quality of medical care and an evidence-based approach to obesity management.
- Prior experience conducting telemedicine visits and a strong "web-side" manner.
- Prior experience working collaboratively with advanced practice professionals and registered dietitians.
Bilingual candidates with medical fluency in Spanish are highly preferred.

Pay
Base Annual Salary: $157,500—$168,750 USD
