Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide evidence based Obstetric and Gynecologic care for patients at Watsonville Community Hospital.
- Work in a collaborative practice model with Certified Nurse Midwives and Family Medicine Physicians in Labor and Delivery.
- Provide timely consultations in the Emergency Department.
- Act as a preceptor for Family Medicine residents rotating in the department.
- Participate in quality improvement committees and hospital governance.
- Participate in continuing education programs to remain current on professional development and practices and to maintain California licensure.
- Maintain a valid professional license, updated CPR certificate and valid California driver’s license.
Requirements
- Working knowledge: of the principles, practices, and procedures used in obstetrics and gynecology to detect, diagnose, and treat health problems in a culturally sensitive manner that includes informed consent and shared decision making.
- Ability to: communicate effectively and respectfully with people from different racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds and lifestyles, demonstrating a knowledge of and sensitivity to their needs.
- Valid California OB/GYN Physician's and Surgeon's license.
- Board certified (or Board eligible) in OB/GYN.
Qualifications
- Ability to obtain/maintain hospital admitting privileges at Watsonville Community Hospital.
Desirable Qualifications
- Bilingual Spanish/English.
Pay
Salary: $354,106.74 - $390,986.29 /year

Available to all regular Salud employees working 24+ hours per week. Part-time employees may receive some benefits on a pro-rated basis.
