Responsibilities
- Provide care during prenatal, postnatal, and all phases of women's reproductive health, including screening, diagnosis, and treatment of various conditions.
- Perform well-women exams, including pelvic and breast exams, Pap smears, and administer necessary tests and biopsies.
- Educate patients on birth control, safe sex practices, preventative medicine, and the expectations of pregnancy and childbirth.
- Diagnose and monitor reproductive system diseases and disorders, ordering and interpreting lab results and screenings.
- Collaborate with midwives, nurses, and other healthcare providers to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and medical records in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Participate in administrative duties, such as reviewing lab reports, managing medication refills, and ensuring cost-effective resource utilization.
- Adhere to all organizational policies, procedures, and healthcare regulations, including HIPAA.
Qualifications
- Current Medical Doctor (M.D) or Doctor of Osteopathy (D.O.) degree from an accredited school of medicine.
- Residency and/or Fellowship training within specialty.
- Current, unrestricted medical license to practice in the State of Texas.
- Board Certification or Board Eligible.
