Physician (Neurology)

About the role

Serve as a Staff Neurologist specializing in Traumatic Brain Injury at a military hospital, providing outpatient care, diagnosis, and treatment within the Neurology field.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate neurological cases, offer recommendations via phone, telemedicine, or air evacuation
• Prepare medical summaries for retention boards, and complete physical profiles and duty fitness evaluations
• Oversee and consult with healthcare providers, including nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and medical trainees

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted medical license
• Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathic Medicine degree from an accredited U.S. or Canadian institution, or equivalent foreign education with proper certification
• Completion of accredited residency training in Neurology with at least four years of experience post-graduation
• U.S. citizenship is mandatory
• Relevant volunteer or paid experience counts toward qualification
• Transcripts or proof of foreign medical education equivalency must be provided

• Proficiency in medical documentation and evaluation
