Physician (Neurology)

Overview

Serve as Staff Neurologist at Evans Army Community Hospital with Defense Health Agency, Intrepid Spirit Center at Fort Carson, CO. Special incentives include: Recruitment/Relocation Incentives may be authorized; Student loan repayment may be authorized; Advance In-Hire may be authorized.

Salary Range: $ 123,077- $ 300,000. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation

Responsibilities

• Serves as a physician working with Traumatic Brain Injury within the field of Neurology, responsible for the examination, diagnosis, and treatment of the full range of outpatients seen in the clinic.
• Provide recommendations or definitive evaluation for neurology problems in the referral region through phone consultation, telemedicine, and authorization and evaluation of air evacuation patients as appropriate.
• Initiates, writes, and dictates medical summaries for the medical retention boards.
• Writes or dictates physical profiles, medical evaluation boards, fitness for duty evaluations, or other related documentation appropriately.
• Oversees, teaches, and consults with other health care providers (nurse practitioners, physician assistants, medical students, interns, residents, and fellows).
• Performs Other Duties As Assigned.

Qualifications

• US Citizens
• Basic Requirement: Degree: Doctor of Medicine, Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine, or equivalent from a school in the United States or Canada.
• Licensure: Applicants must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted license or registration as a Physician from a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
• Residency Training: Applicants must have successfully completed the required accredited residency training in the specialty of the position to be filled (Neurology) and equivalent experience and training equal to at least 4 years.
