Physician Medical Director, Long Term Care

About the role

You will provide clinical leadership and oversight for medical care services within the long-term care facility. The Medical Director collaborates with administration, nursing leadership, and attending providers to ensure delivery of high-quality, compliant, and patient-centered care consistent with federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with administration, nursing leadership, and attending providers to ensure delivery of high-quality, compliant, and patient-centered care consistent with federal and state regulations.
• On-site presence expectations once weekly for rounding on acute care and long-term care patients. Approx. 2 hours per week.
• Participation in QAPI and leadership meetings.
• Availability for consultation.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with active state medical license
• Board certification in geriatric, family or internal medicine
• Experience in geriatrics, post-acute, or long-term care
• Knowledge of CMS and LTC regulatory requirements

Pay

A monthly stipend plus a pay per visit model.

Schedule

• Typical Time Commitment: 4 hours per month per facility for administrative duties
