Physician/Medical Director

About the Role

The Attending Physician serves primarily as a steward of population health through Eventus WholeHealth’s Outcomes‑Centered Healthcare (OCH) model. This position provides leadership in client facilities and works closely with Advanced Practice Clinicians (APCs) to deliver high‑quality, accountable, team‑based care across assigned skilled nursing and assisted‑living facilities. Physicians may also serve in a designated Medical Directorship capacity, providing clinical leadership and oversight within one or more facilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead population‑health initiatives using the OCH model.
• Collaborate with APCs and interdisciplinary teams to ensure excellence in patient care.
• Maintain professional client relations and act as a clinical liaison for facilities.
• Provide team‑based, accountable care across assigned locations.
• When serving as Medical Director, oversee clinical operations and quality standards within the facility.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) required.
• Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatrics preferred.
• CMD certification a plus; required within 2 years if serving in a Medical Directorship capacity.
• Active, unrestricted medical license in the applicable state(s); DEA registration as required.
• Minimum 2–3 years of clinical experience in post‑acute, long‑term care, or value‑based care settings preferred.
• Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and facility leadership.
• Familiarity with EMR systems (AthenaHealth preferred) and care‑coordination workflow.
