Physician - MD/DO - Psychiatrist
About the role
SLUCare Physician Group and SSM Health are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Adult Psychiatrist to join an established inpatient psychiatry service at SSM Health DePaul Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. This full-time position offers a primarily clinical inpatient practice with an academic appointment at Saint Louis University School of Medicine. SSM Health DePaul Hospital, opened in 1828, is a 540‑bed, full‑service Catholic hospital and the oldest continuously existing business in St. Louis, serving patients from across the St. Louis metropolitan area, including the surrounding communities of Bridgeton, Florissant, Hazelwood, St. Ann, Olivette, St. John, Maryland Heights, and Overland. The hospital provides comprehensive medical care with all private rooms, advanced technology, and a range of surgical services.
Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient psychiatric care for adolescent and adult patients (ages 14+)
- Participate in inpatient psychiatric consultations
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physicians and advanced practice providers
- Share call responsibilities as part of a well‑supported coverage model
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Board‑certified or board‑eligible in Psychiatry
- Eligible for Missouri medical licensure

Pay

Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Shared call and rotating weekend coverage among the physician team
