About the role
The California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC) Transplant Program is seeking a full-time, BC/BE Transplant Hepatologist physician to lead the development of the liver donor liver transplant program as Medical Director of Living Donor Liver Transplant.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of the liver donor liver transplant program
- Provide clinical care, research, education, and advocacy work in the Division of Hepatology
- Participate in clinical trials and NIH-funded studies
- Core faculty for the ACGME-accredited Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology fellowships at California Pacific Medical Center
- Work as part of a team to provide patient-focused care
Requirements
- BC/BE in Gastroenterology and Transplant Hepatology
- 3-5 years of experience with living donor liver transplant preferred
- Active or eligible for a California Medical License
Qualifications
- Diverse patient population with general hepatology and transplant hepatology needs
- Experience with alcohol associated liver disease, portal hypertension, autoimmune liver disease, metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease, liver cancer, and transplant oncology
- Strong administrative and nursing support
