Responsibilities

• Act as on-site supervising Physician for assigned APPs and Physicians in the POD, ensuring compliance with state regulations on collaborative practice agreements.
• Participate in quarterly ride-alongs with all collaborative APPs and provide complex patient visits as needed.
• Collaborate with clinical team members, including Community Health Workers, Medical Social Workers, Nurse Navigators, Care Managers, and Patient Care Coordinators.
• Develop and participate in APP clinical development, focusing on evidenced-based care and professionalism.
• Lead high-risk huddles, ensuring documented care plans for all discussed patients, involving all care management team members.
• Build a team-based culture and work collaboratively with clinical team members.
• Conduct 10 chart audits per month or as required by state regulations, whichever is higher.
• Serve as a resource for clinical team members on patient care questions and participate in difficult conversations with patients/family members.
• Routinely review quality metrics, pod-level performance, and identify areas for improvement to enhance HEDIS performance.
• Review clinician capacity and productivity, partnering with Site Medical Directors to develop and implement countermeasures.
• Work with the Regional Medical Director to identify care improvement opportunities.
• Assist with service inquiries, patient complaint resolutions, and requests for the Pod.
• Help pod providers achieve higher EMR efficiency.
• Participate in patient care for assigned panels and other patients as needed, including high-risk or complex cases.
• Lead clinical education on accurate diagnosis, documentation, and chronic condition management.
• Assist with compliance and HR resolutions, including disciplinary actions and performance reviews for direct reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
• Active CPR Certification
• Unrestricted DEA
• Completion of an accredited Residency Program
• Unrestricted Medical License
• Board certification required for all newly hired or promoted on or after January 1, 2026

Preferred Qualifications

• 3 years of experience as a Physician collaborating with Advanced Practice Providers
• Experience in Geriatrics or complex patient care

Pay

Posted Pay Range: USD $250,000.00/Yr. - USD $275,000.00/Yr. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related considerations.
