About the Role

CHRISTUS Southern New Mexico in Alamogordo is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Interventional Cardiologist to join our growing cardiology team. This full-time, permanent position is designed to expand access to interventional cardiac care and reduce patient transfers for procedures. The incoming physician will have access to a fully equipped cardiac cath lab, modern hospital resources, and a supportive clinical team.

Schedule

• Monday – Thursday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM; Friday, 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• Cath lab access: Procedures begin at 6:30 AM, clinic starts at 10:00 AM
• Clinic volume: 20–25 patients/day preferred
• Annual cath/angio volume: ~500 cases
• Shared call coverage expected

Responsibilities

• Perform coronary angioplasty and stent placement
• Conduct right and left heart catheterization
• Perform diagnostic coronary angiography
• Insert pacemakers and AICDs, including generator changes and lead revisions
• Insert and remove loop recorders
• Read stress tests and echocardiograms

Requirements

• Fellowship-trained in Interventional Cardiology
• Unrestricted New Mexico Medical License or eligibility to be licensed in New Mexico
• Experience preferred

• Clinic: GEMMS One
• Hospital: Cerner & Change Healthcare
• Transitioning to Epic in March 2026

Pay

Base plus model with $900k+ earning potential.
