Physician - Internal Medicine - Transplant Hepatology - Chicago (Downtown)-12359
About the role
The selected individual will join a section of eight clinical faculty to cover outpatient and inpatient needs for the Transplant Service Line, while collaborating closely with Dr. Steven Flamm, Clinical Director of Network Development and Outreach for the Transplant Service Line and Director of Research in the Section of Hepatology.
Responsibilities
- Cover outpatient and inpatient needs for the Transplant Service Line
- Collaborate with Dr. Steven Flamm on network development and outreach
- Assist in building strong referring relationships for the Rush Solid Organ Transplant program
- Provide clinical hepatology and liver transplantation services
- Contribute to resident education
- Engage in research activities
Requirements
- Board certified/eligible in both transplant hepatology and gastroenterology
- Eligible for faculty appointment at the assistant professor level or above
- Experience in clinical hepatology and liver transplantation
- Strong interest and successful track record in establishing referring provider relationships for liver transplant
- Deep desire and proven expertise in growth strategies for Liver Transplant programs
- An interest or experience in alcohol use disease order is a plus
