Summary

The Manchester VA Medical Center is seeking a Board Certified Infectious Disease Physician for a part-time position primarily based at the Manchester - NH facility. This role may require flexibility in schedule and travel to CBOCs throughout New Hampshire.

Qualifications

  • United States Citizenship
  • Full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in the U.S.
  • Completed residency training in an ACGME/AOA approved infectious disease program
  • Board certification in Infectious Disease
  • At least 2 years of clinical experience in Infectious Disease
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing immunocompromised patients and antimicrobial stewardship
  • Experience in infection prevention and quality improvement initiatives
  • Familiarity with VA electronic medical records

Basic Requirements

  • Completed residency training in an ACGME/AOA approved infectious disease program
  • Board certification in Infectious Disease
  • At least 2 years of clinical experience in Infectious Disease
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing immunocompromised patients and antimicrobial stewardship
  • Experience in infection prevention and quality improvement initiatives

Preferred Experience

  • Board certification in Infectious Disease

  • Experience in teaching or mentoring trainees
  • Experience in collaboration and communication
  • Experience in quality improvement and clinical research
  • Experience in administrative responsibilities

Physical Requirements

  • Mostly sedentary work requiring some standing and walking
  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop management plans for patients with infectious diseases
  • Provide timely bedside consultative support for ambulatory care
  • Participate in antimicrobial stewardship activities
  • Advise on infection control policies and practices
  • Collaborate with primary care and specialty providers to optimize patient care
  • Engage in quality improvement and clinical research initiatives
  • Attend departmental meetings and participate in committee work
  • Assist with the development and review of medical center policies
  • Complete all medical records in accordance with Bylaws, Rules and Regulations of the Medical Staff

Work Schedule

Part-Time position - tour of duty will be determined between the Physician and their Supervisor

Pay
