Responsibilities

Direct patient care as well as teaching and supervision of residents and fellows, medical students, and other trainees.

Qualifications

  • Must have or be able to obtain a Oklahoma medical license prior to employment
  • Be BC/BE and completed a Fellowship in Infectious Disease
  • Candidates are eligible for faculty appointments through the OU College of Medicine - appointment rank will be commensurate with academic accomplishment and experience
  • Continued employment will be contingent upon successfully obtaining Board Certification in the eligibility timeframe of your specialty

About the Role

The Section of Infectious Diseases, Dept. of Medicine at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center (OUHSC) seeks to recruit new faculty to the Clinician or Clinician Educator pathways at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank. The successful candidate will show strong potential for academic advancement in accord with current College of Medicine criteria.

Requirements

Applicants must have or be able to obtain a Oklahoma medical license prior to employment and be BC/BE and completed a Fellowship in Infectious Disease. Skills

The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in and demonstrated ability to teach and mentor medical students, residents, and fellows. Experience in caring for immunocompromised hosts, bone and joint infections, and/or clinical research is particularly valued.
