Physician Hospitalist Fellow

Responsibilities

Hospitalist positions do not come with traditional call. There is in-house scheduled shift work only. We have a backup system for emergency and high volume coverage, which is 1-2 days per month.

Shift model: 156 hours a month for full time, 7am - 7pm.

ICU is covered by pulmonary critical care physicians. No procedures required, but there is a proceduralist service and opportunities to pursue procedure work if interested.

Admissions per shift: Average census is 15-16 patients in 10 hour rounding shift, plus 1-2 admissions for rounding services (admissions are typically assisted by triage APP).

Qualifications

No prior hospitalist experience is required.

Must be board certified or board eligible in Internal Medicine.

Experience in ICU is preferred but not required.
