Physician - Hematology Medical Oncology - Fargo, ND

About the Role

Essentia Health is seeking a Hematologist/Medical Oncologist to join our esteemed HEM/ONC team in Fargo, ND. We are dedicated to providing exceptional care and support to cancer patients in a warm and welcoming environment.

Practice Details

• Patient Load: Manage an average of 10-12 follow-up visits and 2-4 new patients per day.
• Team: Join a team of 4 MDs and 3 APCs, with anticipated future growth/expansion.
• Call: Consultative call only; hospitalists handle admissions and overnight coverage. Approximately 8-10 days of call per month.
• Regional Outreach: Provide care one day per week/month (depending on the week) to clinics in Jamestown, ND; Lisbon, ND; Wahpeton, ND; Detroit Lakes, MN; Park Rapids, MN; and Fosston, MN.
• EMR: Utilize EPIC electronic medical records, certified as HIMSS EMRAM Level 7 for both inpatient and ambulatory facilities.

Support & Services

• Work alongside a caring team including nutrition support, a social worker, nurse navigators, behavioral therapists, certified cancer care physical therapists, and lymphedema specialists.
• On-site specialty services: Radiation Oncology, Interventional Radiology, Genetic Counseling, and Palliative Care.
• Participate in Multidisciplinary Tumor Board Conferences.
• Utilize telemedicine/TCON/Virtual Visits and community cancer centers to extend reach.
• Benefit from our NCI Community Oncology Research Program (NCORP) grant, providing access to cutting-edge clinical trials.
• Accredited programs: Integrated Network Cancer Center Program (INCP) accreditation by the Commission on Cancer and National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) accreditation by the American College of Surgeons.
• Dyad-led organization with strong physician and administrative leadership.

Requirements

• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Hematology
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Medical Oncology
• Experience as a Hematology/Oncology Physician

Compensation

$571,000. Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses, quality incentives, or production-based compensation.
