About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible fellowship-trained GLAUCOMA SPECIALIST. The successful candidate will be immediately busy and step into a mature medical and surgical glaucoma and cataract practice based at Ochsner’s south shore locations. Through our training program affiliation, this position includes the training of medical students with a faculty appointment at The University of Queensland Medical School in Brisbane, Australia as well as training of LSU ophthalmology residents. Clinical research is encouraged.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive diagnosis and treatment for patients with advanced eye disease and corrective surgery.
  • Participate in the training of medical students and LSU ophthalmology residents.
  • Engage in clinical research as a priority.

Requirements

  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Ophthalmology.
  • Fellowship Training in Glaucoma.
  • Current Medical License in good standing.

Qualifications

  • Experience in managing complex glaucoma cases.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
