Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality geriatric and family medicine care in an outpatient setting: Ambulatory Services
- Comprehensive primary care for older adults
- Management of complex geriatric syndromes, polypharmacy, and multimorbidity
- Preventive care, wellness visits, and chronic disease management
- Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams for coordinated care
- Play a key leadership role in education and program development
- Teach and mentor Family Medicine residents and medical students
- Develop geriatric curriculum and training experiences
- Lead administrative initiatives to enhance geriatric services
- Participate in quality improvement projects and protocol development
- Support the growth of new residency programs and the upcoming osteopathic medical school
Requirements
Board-Certified Geriatrician focused on older adult care within a Family Medicine setting. Strong clinical support provided by a multidisciplinary team including nurses, social workers, and care coordinators. Collaborate with Family Medicine faculty and specialists. Dedicated support for academic and quality improvement work.
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Board Certification in Geriatric Medicine
- Experience in both ambulatory and academic settings
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to teach and mentor medical students and residents
- Interest in developing and enhancing geriatric services
Skills
- Strong clinical skills in geriatrics and family medicine
- Effective teaching and mentoring abilities
