Duties
JOB SUMMARY: Incumbent will be a member of the Gastroenterology Section/Medical Service and will participate in gastroenterology research, endoscopy, patient care, teaching and administrative activities of the Division.
Eligible to receive a University of Colorado Denver faculty appointment in the Department of Medicine.
- Continue and further the development of the endoscopy program and clinical needs of the service.
- Proficient in standard gastroenterologic procedures including upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy.
- ERCP, endoscopic ultrasound, endoscopic therapy of Barrett's esophagus, endoscopic mucosal re-section of the upper and lower GI tract, placement of luminal stents for palliation depending on candidate training and experience.
- Engage in basic, clinical, and/or outcomes research and submit work for national meetings and publication in peer-reviewed journals.
- Attend in the endoscopy lab, inpatient consult service, outpatient clinic, and other clinical services.
- Teach medical students, interns and residents in Internal Medicine and fellows in Gastroenterology.
- Participate in the educational activities of the Gastroenterology Division, UC Denver.
- Participate in Process Improvement/Quality Assurance projects and other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Full unrestricted Licensure, Certification, or Registration required.
- Must pass pre-employment examination.
- Designated and/or Random Drug Testing required.
- Background and/or Security Investigation required.
- Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
- Board Certified/Eligible Gastroenterology
Skills
- Basic Requirements: U.S. citizenship, English language proficiency, meet physical standards, current license to practice medicine, approved school degree, completed first-year residency, approved residency.
- Preferred Experience: Board Certified/Eligible - Gastroenterology

Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:00 - 4:30. Candidate must be willing to work weekends, irregular work hours and extended hours.
