About the role
A hospital in a beautiful Nevada community is seeking a GI medical director to establish and lead a new gastroenterology program. This is an opportunity to shape a service line from the ground up in a supportive environment with strong administrative backing. You will have the autonomy to define clinical protocols, staffing, and scheduling as you build the practice. The facility has a brand-new hospital building with dedicated GI space and a well-established surgical and anesthesia team. You'll also enjoy the benefits of a growing referral base and a collaborative medical staff. Locum tenens support is already in place as you get started.
Responsibilities
- Build a brand-new GI program as medical director
- Define clinical protocols, staffing, and scheduling
- Control future call schedule (1:4 call to start)
Requirements
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Gastroenterology
- Ability to obtain Nevada medical licensure
Qualifications
- Experience or interest in leading a new program
- ERCP available; EUS setup supported if desired
Practice details
- Two new ORs and two unused GI suites ready to go
- 2,800 annual GI referrals ensure a busy practice
- 1:4 call to start; you control future schedule
Compensation
- $680K+ base salary plus RVU production incentives
