Physician - Full Time Radiologist - 25 percent Incentive

About the role

Phoenix Radiology provides inpatient, outpatient, and emergency services to central Arizona Veterans. The position requires proficiency in multiple imaging modalities including Vascular & Interventional, CT, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Breast Imaging, Diagnostic, and MRI.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and prioritize radiology orders
  • Order and evaluate appropriate laboratory studies
  • Hydrate patients for CT exams
  • Protocol and approve complex imaging exams
  • Timely and accurate reporting of complex imaging exams
  • Notify providers of critical imaging results
  • Perform interventional procedures (if applicable)
  • Enter all patient data into the electronic patient chart
  • Document care according to VA and PVAHCS policies
  • Complete VA reports with appropriate CPT codes and diagnoses
  • Participate in on-call schedule and fulfill on-call duties as needed

Requirements

  • Full and unrestricted medical license from a U.S. state or territory
  • Completed residency training in an accredited core specialty program
  • Board certification in clinical radiology
  • Experience in clinical radiology with a good understanding of subspecialties
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and patients

Qualifications

  • Basic requirements: MD or equivalent degree from an approved school
  • Current full and unrestricted medical license
  • Completion of residency training
  • Board certification in clinical radiology

Pay

Competitive salary with annual performance bonuses and regular salary increases.

Schedule

Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm. Expected to participate in on-call schedule and fulfill on-call duties as needed.
