About the role
A fellowship training in obesity medicine is required. This medical director role leads a multidisciplinary team including APPs, dietitians, and behavioral health specialists. The position involves 90% clinical and 10% administrative responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead a comprehensive obesity program
- Develop and implement evidence-based obesity management strategies
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide integrated care
- Conduct research and publish findings in peer-reviewed journals
- Provide clinical supervision and mentorship to junior members of the team
Requirements
- Board certified in internal medicine, family medicine required
- Experience in obesity medicine is preferred
- Comprehensive understanding of obesity-related diseases and treatments
