About the role
West Virginia University School of Medicine - Eastern Division seeks a Family Medicine Physician for an Outpatient Only Position (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Berkeley and Jefferson Counties, WV.
Responsibilities
- Practice in the areas of Family Medicine
- Provide excellent patient care
- Affiliate in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows
Qualifications
- Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent
- State medical license, and DEA registration is required by start date
- Completed a Family Medicine residency program
- Board certified / eligible in Family Medicine
Location
Berkeley and Jefferson Counties are in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia, a little more than an hour from Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, MD. Close to 3 international airports. A rural atmosphere and a lower cost of living mixed with the easy accessibility to the Washington DC / Baltimore areas make the Eastern Panhandle an ideal place in which to live. While Berkeley County is among the fastest-growing counties in the state, there is little congestion and traffic.
