Physician - Family Medicine - Livermore Falls
The successful candidate will join our current highly skilled dynamic team including physicians and Advanced Practice Providers (APP), working together with outstanding support staff. Other specialty services on site include skin Services, Orthopedics, Interventional Cardiology, Pulmonology and Behavioral Health.
About the role
Franklin’s Family Practice services include physical exams, women’s health exams, sick visits, well-child visits, school and sports physicals and management of chronic health conditions. Blood work and lab services are on site, and inpatient care is at Franklin Hospital. The practice includes a skilled licensed clinical social worker to help facilitate behavioral health needs for their patients, allowing the entire health care team to work collaboratively to meet the needs of patients in the community.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to a diverse patient population in a community-focused practice serving a close-knit rural population.
- Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals including nurses, pharmacists, and other providers to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Teach and mentor nurse practitioners/physician assistants as well as medical students from University of New England’s UNECOM program and Tufts University Medical School program.
- Participate in research and development activities within the practice.
- Manage a caseload of patients, including managing chronic health conditions and providing ongoing care.
- Collaborate with the local medical community to establish and maintain strong referral relationships.
Requirements
- MD/DO from an accredited medical school.
- Board Certified/Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.
- NRP certification required and PALS highly recommended.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of post-residency experience preferred.
- Experience in a rural or underserved area is a plus.
