About the role
The PHYSICIAN, FAMILY MEDICINE at MIT Health provides longitudinal and episodic primary care to patients within a team-based care model.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient health status through interview and physical exam
- Synthesize clinical information to formulate health status, diagnosis, plan of care and treatment
- Implement treatment plan and evaluate follow-up strategies according to age-specific plans of care
- Provide health education, supportive counseling, and clinical outreach to the MIT community
- Collaborate with other individuals or services at MIT Health
Requirements
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Completion of a Family Medicine or Internal Medicine residency program with an accredited US institution
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine
- Current provider certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Valid MA license, MA CSR and Federal DEA
- Clinical experience in primary care of adults with demonstrated competence
PREFERRED
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Experience caring for children and young adults
