About the role

At Ochsner Health, we are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Family Medicine/Internal Medicine Physician in Lafayette, Louisiana at Ochsner University Hospital and Clinics. This position offers potential for leadership roles over APP’s with an additional stipend in our new facility to be completed in 2026.

Responsibilities

- Ambient listening available to everyone in Primary care to reduce documentation time - LPN Care Coordinators dedicated to closing care gaps on your behalf - Ochsner On-Call to reduce call burden - Remote messaging Nurses to reduce in basket messages sent through the portal - Outpatient Care Managers to assist with complex patient management and helping with social determinants of your patients' health - Digital Medicine - supporting the management of patients with chronic conditions - Quality Incentives opportunity included - Hospitalist services available for call schedule - 100% outpatient - Full time or part time - Competitive base salary with sign-on bonus - Alternative scheduling and work hours available - wRVU Productivity Bonus included - Outpatient/Inpatient opportunity, limited call, support of large subspecialty network - EPIC EMR with strong support staff - 10 days of paid CME with generous stipend annually - Leadership opportunities with additional stipend - New Facility 2026

Qualifications

- Board Certification/Eligibility in Family Medicine/Internal Medicine - Strong clinical skills and experience - Ability to work independently and as part of a team - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
