About the Role

Rush Copley Medical Center, in Aurora, Illinois, part of the Rush University System for Health network of hospitals, is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Outpatient Family Medicine Physician to join the primary care team at the Fox Valley clinic location. This opportunity is driven by significant regional growth and development, expanding our provider team to meet increasing patient demand. Rush Medical Group Primary Care provides healthcare for the entire family, addressing acute illnesses to chronic medical conditions. Family medicine physicians see patients of all ages—from newborns to seniors.

  • 100% outpatient role with optional inpatient opportunities (if desired).
  • Clinic hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 7:00 pm; Saturday, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm; closed Sundays.
  • Desirable schedule of 36 patient-facing hours per week, including 1 evening shift until 7 pm and 1 Saturday morning per month.
  • Call responsibility: Each physician takes call after hours one day per week. Weekend call is shared 1:5.
  • Practice provides comprehensive primary care in a supportive environment with a team of 4.25 Family Medicine physicians.
  • Full-time position with a balanced patient schedule of 15-20 patients per day, evenly split between pediatric and adult patients.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients across the lifespan, from pediatrics through geriatrics.
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff and support team.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
  • Participate in after-hours call rotation to ensure continuity of care for patients.
  • Contribute to practice growth during our expansion phase.

Requirements

  • Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical institution.
  • Board-eligible or certified in Family Medicine.
  • Valid Illinois medical license or ability to obtain licensure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay

Total pay range: $265,000 - $345,000 for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee. The range reflects factors such as knowledge, skills, experience, training, education, certifications, licensure, primary work location, and other business and organizational factors. Opportunities for increased compensation based on exceeding productivity targets. Additional compensation may include sign-on and retention bonuses and relocation allowances.
