Physician - Family Medicine

About the role

Rugby, ND is seeking a qualified physician to provide medical services to patients at various sites including clinics, inpatient hospital, and other appropriate settings.

Responsibilities

• Treat patients in various settings to include the clinics, hospital, Heart of America Living Center, the Haaland Estates and other appropriate settings.
• Treat patients according to, and perform such Hospital procedures as are consistent with, Physician’s licensure, clinical specialty, privileges, practice, and training.
• Maintain, a currently valid and unlimited license to practice medicine in the State of North Dakota, a currently valid and unlimited Drug Enforcement Administration (“DEA”) Registration Number, and full participation in the Medicare and Medicaid programs.
• Make diligent efforts to procure, maintain, and be subject to contracting provider status in such health maintenance organizations, preferred provider organizations, and other third party payers as are deemed necessary or desirable by Hospital.
• Maintain appropriate medical staff membership and clinical privileges at Hospital.
• Exercise independent medical judgment and control over all his or her professional activities and services.
• Maintain, in accordance with established policies, a standard medical record for each patient treated.
• Cooperate with and assist Hospital in the recruitment of additional physicians to the community.
• Provide coverage when other physician employees at the facilities at which Physician practices are unavailable due to vacations, holidays, illness, or attendance at professional activities.
• Participate in Hospital credentialing and peer review activities.

Requirements

• Completion of a residency in family medicine.
• Meet Requirements of Med Staff Bylaws
• Be Board certified or Board eligible with intent to sit for exam in Family Medicine.
• Have or be eligible for a ND Medical License.

Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Hours are flexible and determined by the needs of the hospital and the physician's availability.
