About the role

The Anesthesiology Department at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital (TJUH) seeks a board certified/eligible anesthesiologist for a full-time faculty position at the Instructor, Assistant / Associate Professor rank. The department provides a broad variety of routine and complex anesthesia services for various service lines.

Responsibilities

• Deliver over 50,000 anesthesia cases annually across TJUH, Vickie & Jack Farber Institute for Neuroscience, and Jefferson Surgical Center.
• Provide a broad variety of anesthesia services for cardiac, orthopedic, neurosurgery, GI, liver, obstetrical, pediatric, and other service lines.
• Engage in teaching and mentoring of residents and fellows.
• Participate in academic, scholarly, and administrative activities.

Requirements

• Pennsylvania licensure is required.
• Interest in teaching and scholarly activities.
• Active participant in academic and professional development.

Qualifications

• Board certification or board eligibility in Anesthesiology.
• Experience in a high-volume academic setting preferred.
• Strong commitment to teaching and scholarly activities.

Skills

• Excellent communication skills.
