Crystal Run Healthcare, part of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking a dedicated, patient-centric full-time Endocrinologist to join our growing team in the New York suburbs of Middletown, NY. The Endocrinology, Diabetes, & Metabolism Department at Crystal Run Healthcare is a busy, well-established, state-of-the-art practice serving patients throughout Orange County, Hudson Valley, and the lower Catskills. We offer:

  • Desirable Monday - Friday schedules during normal business hours promoting work-life balance
  • Manageable and equitably shared rotating on-call support and local inpatient rounding (i.e., 1:6 to 1:7-week rotations)
  • Adult-focused patient census (ages 18+)

An ideal candidate would be based primarily out of our West Nyack, NY office location (2 Centerock Road). New graduates are welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate, diagnose, and treat the full range of endocrine system disorders, including diabetes, hyperthyroidism, and osteoporosis
  • Provide comprehensive, state-of-the-art diabetes care using a team-based approach with endocrinologists, nurse practitioners, diabetes educators, and nutritionists
  • Conduct on-site screening for osteoporosis
  • Diagnose and treat all thyroid disorders, including hypothyroidism, hyperthyroidism, thyroid nodules, and thyroid cancer
  • Perform on-site thyroid laboratory testing, thyroid function testing, thyroid imaging with ultrasonography, and thyroid biopsies
  • Provide comprehensive medical and procedural endocrine care within a team of 14 highly skilled, fellowship-trained Endocrinologists and Advanced Practice Clinicians
  • Consult with patients about their endocrine health and provide the latest advancements in care
  • Manage patient care in state-of-the-art, multi-specialty outpatient offices and round at local hospitals
  • Refer patients to advanced specialists as needed
  • Examine and diagnose patients, oversee treatment pre- and post-surgery, and identify associated risks
  • Order tests and interpret results to determine the best treatment options
  • Maintain appropriate medical records and results

Proficiency or comfort with thyroid biopsies is highly preferred but not required.

Requirements

  • Completion of (or in process of completing) accredited relevant fellowship training program(s)
  • Board certification in Endocrinology and any additional relevant Endocrine sub-specialties (if relevant)
  • Unrestricted New York State Medical License (or ability to obtain)
  • Current New York State DEA certificate (or ability to obtain)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Pay

The salary range for this role is $208,000 to $352,000 annually based on full-time employment. Salary range is defined as total cash compensation at target. The actual range and pay mix of base and bonus is variable based upon experience and metric achievement.
