Physician - Emergency Radiologist

About the role

The Emergency Radiology section currently consists of 17 radiologists, most of which are fellowship trained in abdominal imaging, MSK, pediatrics, or neuroradiology. Full Time and Part Time positions are available. Current shift availability includes time intervals ranging from 5PM until 7AM.

Responsibilities

• Coverage of ER and hospital inpatient examinations from Ochsner Main Campus location as well as several Ochsner community hospitals/urgent care centers.
• Participation in a collegial work environment with up to 5-6 radiologists on duty at any given time throughout the night, including residents.

Requirements

The successful candidate must have:

• A current, unrestricted license to practice medicine in the state of Louisiana.
• Completion of an accredited residency program in Diagnostic Radiology.
• Fellowship training in Emergency Radiology preferred.

• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.

Skills

The following skills are beneficial:

• Experience with PACS and RIS systems.
• Knowledge of AI and Natural Language Processing.
• Experience with radiology guided therapies.
