Responsibilities

  • Provide immediate care and attention to critically injured or seriously ill patients and provide life saving measures and care as needed.
  • Conduct preliminary diagnosis and prescribe necessary treatment.
  • Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests, and explain the results to patients.
  • Cook up coordination with other healthcare professionals to oversee patient care, treatment, and immediate recovery.
  • Maintain a watchful eye on patients' progress and keep records of treatment, procedures, or other medical events.
  • Oversee APPs course of care for patients in the emergency department.
  • Prepare patients for examinations and conduct routine procedures.
  • Cultivate a climate of trust and compassion for the patients.
  • Comply strictly with medical care regulations, laws, and safety standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with EM team members and various specialties.

MUST HAVE

  • A Michigan Medical License.
  • A Board Certification as an Emergency Medicine Physician.
  • An EM training with a Peds EM Fellowship.
  • DEA licensure, ACLS certification, and PALS certification.
  • Must be able to reliably commute/relocate to Petoskey, MI.
