Physician- Emergency Medicine

About the role

Ochsner Health and SCP Health are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Emergency Medicine Physician at our University Hospital & Clinics | Ochsner Lafayette General | Acadia General Hospital – Crowley, LA.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate patient care by abiding by Ochsner’s core values of Patients First, Integrity, Compassion, Inclusivity, Teamwork and Excellence.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases and develop treatment plans.
• Assist in the education and training of medical students, residents, and fellows.
• Contribute to research initiatives and contribute to the advancement of emergency medicine knowledge.

Requirements

• Current license to practice medicine in the state of Louisiana.
• Completion of an accredited ACGME/ACGME-approved residency program in Emergency Medicine.
• Passing scores on the USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 exams.

Qualifications

• Strong clinical skills and ability to manage complex medical situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
