About the role
The Department of Emergency Medicine at MaineHealth Maine Medical Center Portland is seeking a board certified/board eligible Emergency Physician to join our accomplished academic faculty. The department is home to the largest and most well-established Emergency Medicine residency training program in Northern New England. The position includes teaching and mentoring residents and medical students from the Maine Medical Center-Tufts University School of Medicine Medical School Program. The successful candidate will have an academic appointment at Tufts University School of Medicine.
Qualifications
- MD/DO from an accredited medical school
- Board certified/board eligible in Emergency Medicine
- Residency trained in Emergency Medicine with demonstrated excellence as a clinician, educator, and academician
- Subspecialty certification is a plus
About the department
MaineHealth Maine Medical Center Portland has 700 licensed beds and is the state’s leading tertiary care hospital and the state’s only Level 1 Trauma Center. The Emergency Department (ED) is a state-of-the-art facility designed to meet the needs of a high-volume, tertiary-care patient population. The ED is the busiest in Maine and serves approximately 75,000 patients per year from Maine and New Hampshire, as well as visitors from all over the world.
Pay
The annual base salary for this position is $355,000. Total compensation packages may include, based on eligibility, recruitment payments, relocation assistance, and quality incentives.
