About the role
The Deputy Director of Primary Care oversees performance improvement initiatives, recruitment and hiring of primary care providers, manages a float pool of providers, and oversees the peer review process for the service line. They stand in for the Service Line Chief when away, reviewing medical center credentials, interacting with patient advocates, and contributing to the continuing education of providers. They represent the Primary Care service on various committees and workgroups to improve processes and quality of care.
Responsibilities
- Leading performance improvement initiatives
- Recruitment & hiring of primary care providers
- Managing a float pool of providers
- Oversight of the peer review process for the service line
- Representing the Primary Care service on numerous committees and workgroups
- Collaborating across the organization to improve processes and quality of care
- Opportunities for medical student and resident education
Requirements
- Full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in the United States
- Completion of residency training in an approved specialty
- Board certification in Internal Medicine preferred
Qualifications
- Doctor of Medicine or equivalent degree from an LCME-accredited medical school
- Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery
- Completed residency training in an approved specialty
- Board certification in Internal Medicine preferred
