Position Overview

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center is seeking a BC/BE physiatrist for an outpatient position with unlimited potential for growth. The ideal candidate would be proficient in electrodiagnostic medicine as well as skilled in musculoskeletal medicine including ultrasound guided peripheral interventions. Department/Division Overview

Outpatient services are provided at our west campus Martha Morehouse Outpatient Care Center and our Comprehensive Spine Center located at Outpatient Carepoint East and Outpatient Care Dublin. Our Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Department is ranked #1 in Columbus and #37 in the nation by U.S. News & World Report. Newsweek has ranked Ohio State Dodd Rehabilitation Hospital as #1 in Ohio. Additionally, our residency program is ranked 24th through Doximity Residency Navigator.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrodiagnostic (EMG) procedures and provide comprehensive evaluation of patients for musculoskeletal complaints.
• Contribute to training, research, and other scholarly pursuits.
• Represent the program or Department by participating in committees, conferences, and professional meetings.
• Adhere to established Medical Center and standards of practice (policies, procedures, protocols).
• Practice within the tripartite mission of patient care, education, and clinical research.

Requirements

• MD or DO.
• Successful completion of an accredited PM&R Residency Program.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in PM&R.
• Additional EMG Board Eligible and/or Certified (preferred).
• Eligible for an Ohio Medical License.

Faculty Tracks

• Clinical Faculty: Titles include assistant professor-clinical, associate professor-clinical, and professor-clinical. Focus on delivery of exemplary clinical care, with possible teaching and/or research. Appointed for terms of three to five years, not eligible for tenure.
• Tenure-Track Faculty: Titles include assistant professor, associate professor, or professor. Eligible for tenure, primary focus on research, service, and teaching. May also be involved in clinical care if holding MD, DO, or MD/PhD degrees.
• Research Faculty: Titles include research assistant professor, research associate professor, or research professor. Focus on research, appointed for terms of one to five years, not eligible for tenure.
