About the role

The OHSU Knight Cancer Institute's Community Hematology Oncology (CHO) clinics are seeking Hematologist/Medical Oncologists to join their growing team. The position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive hematology and general oncology care within a community-based setting while benefiting from the resources and expertise of an NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center.

Function/Duties of Position

  • Provide services as assigned by the supervisor to further the university’s missions and goals of teaching, research, patient care, outreach, and public service.
  • Be responsible for clinical and in-patient services at the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute, Beaverton location, and possibly other practice locations as needed.
  • Teach and pursue academic pursuits, including participating in administrative committees and councils of OHSU, Legacy, and other community partners.
  • Engage in public service through consultative activities with non-university groups with the knowledge and consent of the Division Head and Section Chief.
  • Assist in the education of medical students and house staff.
  • Ensure every patient has an opportunity to be considered for a clinical trial.

Required Qualifications

  • MD, MD/PhD, DO, MBBS, MBBCh
  • Licensed to practice medicine in Oregon
  • Board certified/board eligible in medical oncology/hematology
  • Desire to practice in a community-based clinical environment as part of an academic health care system

Preferred Qualifications

  • Physician leadership experience
  • Demonstrates the background, focus, and drive to excel
  • Able to provide excellent clinical care to cancer patients in the community setting
