Physician - Cognitive Neurologist - Full Time Academic

About the role

Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport and Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center-Shreveport are seeking a Cognitive Specialist to join the Academic Neurology department. Must be BC/BE and eligible for a Louisiana license. Leadership opportunities available to qualified candidates.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering high-quality clinical care to patients with neurological conditions
• Medical student and Neurology resident education, including supervision in clinics, grand rounds, and didactic conferences
• Participation in departmental activities and contributing to the growth of the Dementia program
• Mentoring and providing clinical expertise to faculty and residents
• Large patient volume potential and leadership potential

About the region

Louisiana has the 5th highest Alzheimer's mortality rate in the US and North Louisiana has a particularly large burden of disease. Potential to be the expert in the field in this region.
