Physician Clinic Medical Director

At Concentra, Medical Directors primarily focus on clinical patient care while also contributing to quality improvements and business growth with the Center Leadership Team. This role allows physicians to integrate patient care with management skills at the leader in workplace health.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, leading by example to create an exceptional patient experience.
• Lead healthcare management to ensure day-to-day execution of the medical model, collaborating with therapists and specialists for optimal clinical outcomes and case closure.
• Manage clinicians and support staff, complying with APC supervisory requirements.
• Create a professional and collaborative working environment.
• Identify and implement changes with leaders to ensure continuous medical clinic improvement.
• Maintain relationships with center clients and payers.
• Work with the medical clinic leadership team to manage clinical and support staffing levels.
• Promote, cultivate, and exemplify Concentra values for all clinic colleagues.
• Foster an environment of collaboration, professionalism, patient/colleague safety, quality care, continuous improvement, and reward and recognition.
• Demonstrate financial awareness and provide input to clinic budget and key business metrics.

Requirements

• Active and unrestricted medical license.
• Unrestricted DEA license and dispensing license for state of jurisdiction (required prior to start date).
• Eligibility to participate in Medicare.
• Board Certification or Eligibility in an ABMS or AOA recognized specialty preferred.
• FMCSA NRCME certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Access to confidential and critical information, requiring discretion and secure information management.

Schedule

• Many clinics offer working hours Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.
• No nights, no weekends, no holidays, no call.
