Physician - Chair, Surgical Services Institute
About the Role
AtlantiCare, southeastern New Jersey’s largest health system and a Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award recipient, is seeking a transformative Chair of Surgical Services Institute to lead its system-wide surgical strategy. This highly visible, system-level leadership role is designed to unify and elevate a broad surgical portfolio in alignment with AtlantiCare’s Vision 2030—driven by innovation, academic growth, clinical excellence, and health system transformation.
Reporting directly to the Chief Medical Officer, the Chair will serve as the architect of a destination Surgical Services Institute—integrating Surgical Oncology, Urology, Bariatric Surgery, General Surgery, Acute Care Surgery, Trauma, Orthopedics, Plastic Surgery, and Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery into a cohesive, high-performing academic enterprise. This role is for a proven academic surgical leader ready to step into a highly resourced environment and build at scale—shaping surgical care, advancing education, and driving innovation across the system.
Be part of an extraordinary moment in healthcare as AtlantiCare partners in the creation of a brand-new, 4-year Temple University’s Lewis Katz School of Medicine in Atlantic City, alongside the launch of the Stockton-AtlantiCare College of Community Health. As a physician at AtlantiCare, you’ll train and inspire the next generation of doctors, contribute to cutting-edge research, and deliver compassionate care that transforms lives.
