Physician - Casual Neonatologist - Edina, MN

About the role

Fairview is seeking a Casual Neonatology physician to help on an as needed basis to cover shifts at Fairview Southdale Hospital. Ability and flexibility needed to cover additional Fairview sites; Fairview St. John's, Ridges and Woodwinds Hospitals. Neonatal Nurse Practitioners on Staff 24/7.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to newborns and premature infants
• Evaluate the physical and mental development of newborns
• Perform assessments of infants’ health, including ordering and interpreting lab and imaging tests
• Prescribe medications and treatment plans
• Advise parents on infant care and nutrition
• Attend deliveries and provide emergency care for newborns
• Collaborate with other healthcare team to ensure the best possible care for the newborn

Schedule

Schedule is based on an as needed basis. Shifts: variable, typically 24 hour shift length. Home call available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited ACGME Pediatric residency and a Neonatal-Perinatal fellowship training program
• Board eligible/certified in Neonatal - Perinatal Medicine
• Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure
• Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota
• Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges
• Experience as a Neonatologist required
